OUR VISION
To make the proven benefits of yoga accessible to all members of our community, promoting healing and building resilience.
WHAT WE DO
Through donations, fundraising events and partnerships, Studio South Foundation hires and trains certified, service-minded yoga instructors to bring yoga and wellness education to women, children and seniors in under-resourced areas and those suffering from trauma, addiction and physical or mental health issues.
OUR COMMUNITY
Though the support of our amazing community comprised of service-minded 200 and 500 hour RYT yoga teachers, donors and partners, we bring sustainable yoga classes to underserved populations in our area.

THE WHY
The benefits of yoga are abundant, scientifically proven, and economically shown. Every single human being can benefit from some form of yoga from the breath work that calms the nervous system, the postures which provide strength, stability, and flexibility, to meditation which provides mental clarity in our fast paced world.

Meet The Team

Bunkie Righter
President
A passionate yogi, Bunkie has 20 years of experience in both nonprofit management, fundraising and revenue generation. As GuideStar USA's senior director of business development, she runs a team that develops partner relationships and delivers comprehensive solutions from the GuideStar database for partners and clients.
Beyond the distribution of GuideStar's extensive database through licensing partnerships, she travels throughout the country talking with nonprofit professionals about GuideStar’s role in the nonprofit sector. Ms. Righter attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Ms. Righter has a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. She sings in her church choir, was a founding member of SpiritWorks Foundation, a Center for Addiction Recovery located in Williamsburg.

Liz White
Corporate Secretary
Liz has studied yoga and Yoga philosophy extensively for over a decade and is a dedicated practitioner. Liz teaches Raja Yoga, pranayama, chanting, yoga philosophy, yoga lifestyle and self-study for Studio South’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Liz is a Managing Law Partner at Sands Anderson, PC in Williamsburg. A teacher at heart, she breaks down complex laws and regulations and assists clients in developing pragmatic strategies to overcome and avoid legal obstacles.

Kelsey Sanders

Kelsey first came to yoga due to a ballet injury in high school. However, it was when she took her 200 Yoga Teacher Training at Studio South that her like of the practice grew to love. She has a passion for health and looks forward to helping those in our community discover their own path to wellness.

Kelsey is the owner of marketing consulting company Adagio Marketing and a part owner of Free Range Juice, a juice bar located in Williamsburg, VA.
